ACQUA ROCCHETTA: BUSINESS AND SOLIDARITY. NEW VACCINATION CENTRE OPENS IN UMBRIA

Acqua Rocchetta is once again leading the way in the battle against Coronavirus.

Its solid commitment to this issue is nothing new. In 2020, the Uliveto-Rocchetta mineral water group donated the total sum of €600,000.00 to four Italian regions (Lazio, Lombardy, Tuscany and Umbria) which were among the hardest hit by Covid-19, with the aim of supporting their healthcare services and front-line workers battling the virus on a daily basis.

Over one year since the start of the pandemic, companies are now renewing their solidarity by supporting the healthcare system in its demanding work to vaccinate as many people as possible – the only way to overcome the crisis that has affected the lives of the entire population.

As one of the first companies to quickly and effectively put these commitments into action, Rocchetta has chosen to collaborate with the Umbria 1 Local Health Authority (Azienda Unità Sanitaria Locale) to accelerate and intensify the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. As a means of widening the vaccination programme and helping those furthest away from the vaccination centres, Rochetta has offered to the entire community of Umbria a part of its bottling factory in Gualdo Tadino (Perugia), where a modern two-station vaccination centre has been set up.

All the costs for outfitting and running the centre (infrastructure, healthcare personnel, medical equipment, sanitisation and cleaning) are borne by Rochetta, which has decided to supply its owns resources to intensify the vitally important vaccination campaign.
The vaccination centre at the Rochetta factory in Gualdo Tadino was inaugurated on 19 May and will be open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm to administer the Jannsen (Johnson&Johnson) vaccine to all Umbria residents.

Uliveto and Rocchetta, companies that have always prioritised people's health and well-being, know that these objectives only be achieved by beating the virus. They have therefore decided to make a real contribution towards a swift return to normality.
